Larimar is a form of pectolite or volcanic rock found only in one place in the world - one square kilometer in the mountains above Baoruco in the Dominican Republic. Miners have to deep dig into the mountains as this rock is becoming increasingly scarce.
These carvings are the shade of both the sky and the ocean, and have beautiful markings. The most high quality larimar is a beautiful deep blue and has distinct markings.
Larimar resonates with the throat chakra, it promotes self-confidence and encourages us to express our deepest truths and fears.
Larimar is helpful in removing blockages and constraints, allowing one to take control of his/her life by removing self-sabotaging behaviour, alleviating guilt and reducing fear.
